This ensemble is for more experienced musicians. Enrollment in symphonic band is contingent upon successful audition and continuous enrollment. This group strives to build highly developed technical control of an instrument and continues to build basic musicianship skills including theory and ear training. Participation in this group can require up to one hourly sectional per week. This group performs 3-4 concerts each year and participates in large group festival. Members of this ensemble also participate in the competitive marching band, have the opportunity to participate in full orchestra, and may apply to become private lesson teachers for elementary band students.

Members of this ensemble perform up to 40 times each year as a concert group, a competitive marching band, a pep band for athletic events, as part of honor groups, part of the symphony orchestra, and at solo and ensemble contest. This year 11 members of the group performed at the state solo and ensemble contest earning three superior ratings and 1st in the state for Elliot Anderson.
