Welcome Invitation to Attend Band Parent Association (BPA) Meetings
When: The Band Parent Association meets the 1st Monday of every month from 6:30 to 8:00 pm (please check the master band schedule for exceptions)
Where: North Thurston High School Band Room
What: Come meet a fun group of people and see what the BPA is all about! All are welcome and we value your input and support of the band/guard!
At the meetings, we discuss upcoming band/guard events and how we can help our directors and students. Below are volunteer opportunities for band/guard families.

September | Back to School BBQ | 5-7 | Buy, cook, serve food, set up and clean up |
September- November | Pit Crew for marching shows | 10-12 | Unload, load and put on field instruments and equipment |
October | Feed the Band (Pizza) Night | 2-3 | Pick up pizzas, water and cookies |
October | Senior Sash Night | 2 | Buy materials and make about 30 senior sashes |
November- August | Fundraisers: Golf tournament, Wreath sales, Snap Raise | unlimited | Help organize and/or run a fundraiser for the band |
January | Ice Cream Social (8th grade welcome) | 5 | Buy supplies and serve ice cream |
March | Winter Guard/Indoor Percussion Winter Showcase | A LOT | Ticket sales, concessions, monitors and runners |
May | Senior boutonnieres at last concert | 3 | Get supplies and make about 30 senior boutonnieres |
June | End of Year Banquet | 5-10 | Set up, clean up, pick up supplies, flowers for seniors and decorations |
